Separate unlike configurations
Use a separate row when the door type, dimensions, handing, finish, hardware or technical requirements change. Give each row a stable reference that also appears on drawings and packing labels.
Label the dimensions
Record width, height and wall thickness in millimetres. State whether the values describe the structural opening, finished opening or frame. Mark preliminary measurements clearly and have final dimensions verified before production.
Include the buying context
Add the location in the building, quantity, destination, required delivery timing and any special packing needs. For repeated orders, identify which approved specification or sample should be followed.
Compare quotations on the same scope
Check whether the price includes frames, architraves, glass, locks, hinges, closers, packing and transport. Record exclusions and the agreed delivery terms. Review the total scope before comparing unit prices.
