For preparing a procurement brief. These illustrations do not specify a door size, installation gap or construction detail. Ask your installer or project team to verify the final dimensions for the offered system.
Open the detailed procurement checklist
| Item | What to record or confirm |
|---|---|
| Opening reference | Give each opening a stable code and location. Use the same code on the enquiry, drawing and final door schedule. |
| Width and height | Write the units and measurement type beside the numbers. Identify whether they refer to the structural opening, finished opening, frame outside dimensions or the door leaf. |
| Wall and leaf thickness | Record wall thickness at the opening where relevant to the frame. Door leaf thickness is a separate dimension that may be needed for hardware compatibility. |
| Floor and finish status | State whether floor and wall finishes are complete. Identify any planned changes rather than assuming the current opening is final. |
| Opening direction | Provide a labelled sketch showing which side you are viewing, hinge position and intended swing. A bare “left” or “right” description can be ambiguous. |
| Verification status | Mark the measurements as approximate, site-checked or approved for production. Identify the person or project team responsible for final confirmation. |
Keep the original measurements.
Do not turn an opening measurement into a manufacturing size by applying a generic allowance. Send the original numbers with their measurement labels, then review the proposed frame and installation detail for the selected door.
Include useful visual references.
- A front view identifying the full opening and its reference code.
- A sketch with width, height, units and measurement type.
- Any relevant wall, floor, threshold, side-panel or overhead-panel information.
- A clearly labelled opening-direction sketch and any nearby obstruction.
