1. Describe the setting
Tell us whether the entrance is for a villa, apartment or another building type. Share the destination, a front-view photograph and any drawing showing the wall and opening. Note exposure to rain and sun and whether the entrance has a canopy.
2. Choose a design direction
Identify a website reference or send your own image. Mark the details you want to keep: relief pattern, symmetry, decorative panels, side lights or overall colour. Reference images do not establish dimensions or material.
3. Distinguish the materials
For a copper entrance, specify whether the enquiry is for copper facing, copper-clad construction or a copper-effect finish. For cast aluminum designs, ask how the decorative face, leaf and frame are constructed. Confirm these items in the quotation.
4. Record the opening
Use millimetres and label whether each dimension is a structural opening, a finished clear opening or a door-frame measurement. Include wall thickness, floor level and the required opening direction. Your installer should confirm final measurements before production.
5. Agree the order scope
List the leaf, frame, hardware, lock, finish sample and packing requirements. Clarify delivery location, unloading, installation, destination charges and any site work separately in the commercial agreement.
